Fine Gentleman's Cruiser from the respected Bates Starcraft Line. I am back in London having been abroad, heading out again ASAP, no longer need this much loved boat, I'm aiming to sell by August so come and have a look! YOU WILL NOT FIND A BETTER BOAT AT THIS PRICE!
Morso squirell stove in saloon. Well equipped galley - beautifully crafted. Double bed in cabin. Lots of cupboards. Very spacious - she's a widebeam.
Double diagonal teak hull. Fiberglass roof (renovated last year).
C0 detector, fire blanket, fire extinguishers replaced in 2009
Boat safety to 2013. River licence to end 2010.
2kW Sterling inverter-charger. High efficiency 12V LED lighting. 12v flatscreen LCD TV - Akura - highly efficient, 2009. 12V DVD/CD player by JVC added 2009. 4 speakers.
2kW diesel generator added 2009 (cost £500) - I get enough off my solar panels not to need to use this, but it's a great backup and useful if you're going to be using power tools for extended periods.
Exemplary solar system: 300W max of panels (a bit over £1k), 8 * 85AhR high quality leisure batteries, high quality charge controller - all added 2009. The battery wires I added last year are 105mm2 and would now be worth about £500. Batteries were taken from an old police backup installation, and were hardly cycled prior to last year. I got them at the bargain price of £350, worth much more. I've never taken then below 12.8v. Excellent condition.
State of the art composting toilet added 2009 (Nature's Head, cost £600)
Shower. 3/4 length bath (crazy for a boat)
3L Diesel engine, beauty to look at - BMC Commodore, runs sweet as a nut. Serviced in 2010 (oil and filters changed, rubber dampers replaced, generally looked over)
350L cold water tank
300L boiler with electric immersion heater
70L back up tank
Fiamma aqua 8 auto pump added 2009 and feeds the taps.
Currently on River Lee near Tottenham Hale, been all over London, goes through Islington tunnel.
A sound boat, some things you could do to tidy her up, but an excellent liveaboard and a great bargain. I did a lot of work on this boat last year and have brought her to quite a high standard.
I am heading abroad and want to spend as much time with my family up North before I do. I am looking for a quick sale. |
