Tintagel is a 70' narrowboat built by multi award winning narrowboat builder to a custom design on a Graham Reeves shell with a cruiser stern.Newly built and delivered in 2006, it is a 'State of the Art' boat with everything needed to provide very comfortable living for two people with extra accomodation for up to 4 guests. The boat is fully insulated and lined with American white ash. It has very effective full central heating housed in solid ash and brass grills, fully programable on a 7 day cycle. The internal layout has a large rear enclosed utility/laundry/storage area; separate macerator toilet; main cabin with super king size bed, 2x3 drawer bedside tables and 2 x 4 ft wardrobes plus overhead storage; office and study data cabled throughout the boat and wireless with 2 large bookshelves, storage cupboard and wine fridge; full size walk-thru bathroom with shower, basin and second macerator toilet; galley with dual sinks, oven-grill, dish washer, fridge, gas range and fume hood; 4 seat dinette with storage underneath and converts to a double bed; saloon with two facing sofas that converts to a king size bed.

The Mooring - E14 5SH
Tintagel is moored at Poplar Dock Marina in the shadow of Canary Wharf and is non-tidal with no passing water traffic. This is a beautiful marina and well appointed with facilities; waste pump out, large shower block, elsan disposal, commercial size laundry, post room, carpark, cctv and night security guard. The marina is exceptionally well laid out with wide pontoon walkways and pontoons between each vessel which is maintained regularly and in lovely condition.There is a community of around 70 people from all kinds of professions which makes a welcoming network of support and socialising if you want it.
The large underground Canary Wharf shopping complex and its vast network of restaurants and bars, is a casual 10 minutes walk providing a mall of great shops and a very large Waitrose, Tesco express across the road from the marina,Budgeons a 5 min walk, ASDA a 10 minute walk down the Island, fantastic medical practice at The Barkintine Centre ( newly built £11million). The marina is serviced with probably the best network of public transport in London with buses, D3,D6,D7,D8,277,15 DLR Blackwall across the road and Jubilee Line at Canary Wharf, water taxi to Canary Wharf for the party goers and access to a great network of cycle routes. Future benefits are the development of Woodwharf complex in the next basin to the marina, Crossrails main station at Canary Wharf linking Heathrow to Ashford as a direct route and additional shopping malls planned and walking distance to the 2011 Olympics.
