THE HOUSEBOAT CENTRE and NETWORK YASCHTBROKERS DOVER present this unused almost complete replica Dutch Barge 40 ft long with 11'6" beam, she draws 3'3" with the lee
boards up, there are 4 domestic batteries running 24 volt domestic
electrics, she has a Blakes paraffin stove fitted. A Lockgate heater heats
radiators in every cabin. The engine is fitted and aligned.
The unfinished work is:-
Hydraulic ram for the steering (everything drilled but is not plumbed in)
Autopilot hydraulic take off points fitted and space allocated in the pilot
berth for pump
Rigging main mast needs to be built, the remaining spars are varnished and
ready to use.
Bow thruster, charging wires are fitted bow thruster fitted needs battery box
fitting in the bow and control wire conections to be made.
Cosmetics topside paint needs to be tidied, doors need makint to fit the units
in the galley and main cabin.

Construction 12mm baseplate
8mm sides
6mm decks
4mm cabin roof
The hull has been built to a high standard with angled bracing welded every
600mm internally on the sides
The base plate has 100mm angles welded across every 800mm.
She floats to the design waterline (and since all the heavy items are already
in upon completion will only require trimming.
I have a rigging plan that can be made available too. She meets the design
criteria for 20 miles from a safe haven charter, will easily get a RCD C
stamp.
Designed by Peter Nicholls who designed the hull and welded did all steel
fabrication (www.steelboats.com). Tucker Designs did the rigging plan.
Owner checked all work to make sure it would meet the coding regulations for charter. The engine is a 5 cylinder beta marine diesel. Matched to a 24" propeller which is also supplied. All brand new and unused. This will make a fine cruising liveaboard, with or without sails. Only available due to ill health. |
