Transport

The vessel can be towed in calm inshore waters very efficiently and
without any problem.
For long distance sea transportation a large semi-submersible ship would
be required on to which the hotel ship could be floated and then
secured. This has been done before. The ship yard has also designed the
necessary fixings and loading arrangements to enable it to be safely
transported on a slightly smaller semi-submersible ship thereby making a
re-positioning voyage much more affordable and cost-effective

Towing

The following procedures have to be adopted if you wish to tow the vessel:

& #149;The front tug must have a minimum 400BHP power capacity
& #149;The rear tug must have a minimum 700BHP power capacity
& #149;Fenders and standard towing equipment will also be required

MOORINGS
Most residential marinas in our area have secure accessible pontoons, mains water at a charge of £2.50 per week and mains electricity at normal cost per unit with a separate meter to each vessel. BT provide the telephone connections at their usual rates and Broadband is also available. We have often noted that there are children and there are animals. BUT there are no problems with children and there are no problems with animals. A well-laid out car-park includes allocated spaces for each boat and adequate extra spaces for visitors. Post is addressed to you at the Marina and collected at the office. There are adequate clean wheeled bins, emptied regularly by the council. 24 hour CCTV operates and the car-ways and walk-ways are well-lit. · Moorings fees are usually £1.10 per foot length of boat per week, paid four-weekly in advance. · Council Tax is Band A the cheapest Band and in Medway this is only £792 a year. If you are on your own, with single persons discount, this is only £594 for the full year.

Continuity of Moorings

Usually we find that a boat sold on any mooring will be able to stay by arrangement between the new owner and the Marina,subject to references and approval. But, for the buyer, it is always your responsibility to introduce yourself and confirm all arrangements, including those above, prior to purchase
