Built in 2004 and launched in 2007, Anca is a cruising barge most recently used as a houseboat since 2023. She is fitted with an array of sophisticated systems to make long term cruising/living aboard comfortable and convenient, Anca is powered by a Gardiner 6LW 20, which was fully rebuilt in 2004, she also benefits from a Vetus Bow Thruster for ease of handling. Though she has been my home for the past two years, Anca was designed for long term cruising with the French canals in mind, and her electronics are no exception.
Down below there are 6 full size, comfortable berths and the saloon is fitted with a Waterford wood burning stove, which pumps out a good amount of heat. I have used the woodburner, linked to the central heating system, as my primary heat source for the past two winters - though it is linked to a Mikuni diesel burner which, in my limited usage during particularly cold spells, kicked out a considerable amount of heat.
Currently moored at Leigh Marina, the boat has provided a comfortable home for me, my dog and for a short while, my partner - though she is less nautically inclined than me, hence the sale. Unfortunately, the boat will have to be moved once purchased, though a non-residential mooring MAY be available with discussion with the marina's new owner.
I bought this boat as my first home and have cared for her to the best of my abilities. She had a new bank of domestic batteries when I first moved on in December of 2023 as well as a brand new Victron Inverter in the summer of 2025 - My circumstances have, however changed as I am now living with my partner elsewhere.
I had an extensive survey conducted before my purchase in 2023 which is, of course, available to see for any potential buyers.
Having been purchased as my first home, I have done as much maintenance as I've been able to but there are little jobs here and there that could do with being done, but she is certainly in a liveable state. She'd make a wonderful home for a couple/ small family. I am only selling due to a change in ownership/usage of the marina in which she has been berthed and a change in circumstances in my own life combining to make living aboard a boat no longer viable for me.
I have priced her with an eye to a quick sale and sensible offers are very much welcomed.
Viewings will be a slight struggle due to my working schedule so please only enquire to view if you are a serious buyer.

Fully rebuilt in 2004, this is a classic Gardner engine, maintained over its period of heavier usage very well. Having used it as a liveaboard for the previous two years, I haven't had much use for the engine but it has been started multiple times over the years and checked over very generally while other works have been completed by engineers.
