The interior of this beautiful one-bedroomed 60ft widebeam canal boat has been lovingly designed by its owner, a craftsman carpenter. Considerable time and expense has been taken to create a serene home upon the water – carefully curating the space, with bespoke furniture and antique pieces that fit perfectly. The owners have given meticulous consideration to maintaining the boat as an open, clean and clutter-free home. It is made entirely of the highest quality Scandinavian birch ply and solid oak including the hand made kitchen and chaise sofa. All appliances and systems are high end, state of the art.

The bathroom, which feels like it would be as much at home in a Georgian townhouse as a boat, has the luxury of a full sized rolltop cast iron bath, with claw feet and reclaimed antique brass taps and shower fittings. The bedroom is home to a fitted double bed and open fitted wardrobe, as well as a large integrated stainless steel, insulated fresh water tank. There’s also access to the bow through a double opening.

The boat is heated by the latest Webasto Thermo high performance water heating system and calorifier. There are solar panels which allow for living completely off grid and sufficient for year-round cruising. There are antique, cast iron radiators throughout as well as a multifuel stove. She is almost entirely custom built and has all the features you would expect from a luxury craft.

Romy is a 60 x 10 widebeam canal boat, built in 2012. Designed to the personal specifications of the current owners, it is birch ply lined and has been custom painted. The boat has been fully spray-foam insulated and has an unusually high ceiling. It has a 52hp Canaline diesel engine. She has been recently blacked, painted inside and out, has new anodes and boat safety certificate.

The boat is fully equipped for both long-term shoreline mooring and continuous cruising. A mooring in Bristol is potentially available or can be delivered to anywhere on canal network.
