Seagull - (No Offers)
This vessel is currently lying in Goole , following a successful Ultrasonic Hull Survey after undergoing structural & modification work to provide the client with a houseboat / liveaboard barge conversion. The vessel has been shortened down from 153 ' to 78'6" & steeled over to provide living space in the once vast cargo hold. All of the work has been professionally carried out by a time served shipbuilder & repairer with 30 years in the trade. The finished product provides a competitive alternative to a new build widebeam , both in terms of square footage (living space) & initial purchase cost....The price of new steel is currently through the roof & this is inevitably passed on to the customer when ordering new builds.
In addition to a favourable ultrasonic report on the bottom plating , a 12 mm double skin exists along the length of the ex cargo hold & generator room. The vessel currently offers the old crews quarters & forward portion of the ex-cargo hold as internal liveaboard space which is immediately ready for design & fit-out however , the potential to extend further into the already steeled over generator / store room is an easy & affordable option that requires minimal remedial work. This option would increase square footage in terms of living space considerably. An unused ballast tank also exists directly behind the generator room providing even more living space if required. The generator / store room would make an excellent good to go workshop if the extra space is not required.
The vessels outboard exterior has undergone thorough removal of any dead paint or rust & has received three build coats of marine grade steel primer. Below the 3' draught markings all the way around the vessel & under the stern counter has been treated with antifouling & new Anodes fitted. The top coat has been finished with (International) two pack epoxy paint system. All the finer details of this vessel with regards to machinery / electrics / steering / internal measurements etc can be obtained from the spec sheet.
This is an excellent opportunity for the right person whether you are looking for a floating home (cruising or static) or a return on your investment. The fitting out of this vessel is a totally blank canvas & can be a DIY project or alternatively , Paull boatyard & Marine Services Ltd offer bespoke professional plan & fit out service to customer requirements , as well as catering for any steel alteration work the customer requires.
This vessel is mechanically sound & reliable & is capable of reaching any desired location under her own steam in favourable weather conditions.
