Liquorice Fields
A fantastic opportunity to purchase Liquorice Fields, a 57ft narrowbeam liveaboard go anywhere dutch barge built in 2008 by HT fabrications, fitted out by Otherton boat yard and featured in Canal Boat magazine the same year.
A Crick show boat, built to higher than usual specifications which include:
Open plan front cabin giving a light contemporary feel.
There is a full height back cabin, described as having a Chapel like feel due to its bespoke stain glass windows. There is lots of storage around the small double fixed berth and ensuite toilet.
Powered by a Vetus 42 hp diesel with integrated hydralic drive system powering both propeller and bow thruster.
There is a 9kw central and water heating system with new Webasto unit installed less than 2 years ago with a 7 day programmable timer.
Currently 4 leisure batteries, with space for 5, charged by solar power or engine generator via 3.5kw inverter and charger. A standard hook up socket has been recently renewed. There is a new last year 2.5kw inverter for battery useage only.
The bathroom is full width in the bow with full size shower, Jabasco flushing toilet and built in wash basin.
The interior finish is in Oak with ash trim, new curtains and upholstery. Oak flooring throughout.
In the saloon area there is a flexible sofa bed arrangement providing extra sleeping accommodation, as does the convertible dinette.
The kitchen area includes a Hoover washing machine (new last year), a built in tumble dryer, fridge, microwave , 4 ring lpg hob and eyelevel oven.
It has LED lighting throughout, including subtle hidden low level, bluetooth controlled, varible colour alternative lighting
Outside the whole boat was repainted in 2022 with SML supplied paints and the deck and roof area repainted this year. In 2022 the hull was taken back to bare metal and painted. Hull survey at the time revealed virtually no corrosion and 6 annodes were renewed having protected the hull well.
The wheel house frame was upgraded in 2021. Made of steel and folding to allow access to most of the network, it has a new 3 section removable, insulated and interiorly clad roof. The glass is double glazed and the area heated by the Webasto, using blown air. No more standing outside getting soaked in adverse weathers!
The boat safety certificate is valid until February 2026.
Liquorice Fields is available now.
P/X Decent motorhome considered (can be left hand drive) up to the value of 20K
Anyone genuinely interested should experience Liqourice fields in person whilst she is on the Kennet & Avon.
